ClearWealth is operated by Cavan Ventures LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ClearWealth personal finance application.
We collect information you provide directly including name, email, password, and financial data you enter (debts, budgets, goals, transactions). We also collect usage data, device information, and cookies for authentication.
If you connect bank accounts, we use Plaid Technologies, Inc. Your bank credentials are never stored on our servers. We receive an encrypted Plaid access token to retrieve transaction and balance data. You can disconnect bank accounts at any time. By connecting, you also agree to Plaid's Privacy Policy.
We use your information to provide the Service, calculate debt-free dates and financial metrics, send weekly summary emails, process payments via Stripe, and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your data. We share information only with: Plaid (bank connectivity), Stripe (payment processing), and Anthropic (AI advisor feature — data not retained for training). We may share data if required by law.
All data is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Plaid access tokens are stored encrypted. Server access requires SSH key authentication.
Your data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is removed within 30 days and bank connections are immediately revoked. You can export your data anytime from the Export page.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from within the app. You can disconnect bank accounts and unsubscribe from emails at any time.
ClearWealth is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
